MARRIAGE LICENSE
REQUIREMENTS
1. Applicants must be 19 years of age; provided, that if either applicant is 17 or 18 years of age,
a notarized form giving consent to the marriage of a minor must be completed
and signed by the applicant’s legal guardian.
No one under the age of 17 may be legally married in the State of
Nebraska.
2. Proof of identity and age must be
provided along with the applicant’s social security number; if provided that
the applicant does not have a social security number, the applicant will be
required to sign a notarized statement stating the applicant does not have a
social security number.
3. If applicant has been previously
married, the date of dissolution or death must be provided.
4. Applicants’ Signatures as stated on
marriage license are required.
A
Marriage License issued in the State of Nebraska is good for one year anywhere
in the State.
Marriage
Licenses are issued from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Fee
for the issuance of a Marriage License is $15.00.
