BOARD OF EQUALIZATION PROCEEDING
JULY 19, 2010 GRANT, NEBRASKA
The
meeting of the Board of Equalization of Perkins County, Nebraska, was held at
11:41 a.m. in the County Courthouse in Grant, Nebraska.
Present:
James A. Deaver, Sid Colson, Leon Pankonin, County Assessor Bonnie Appel,
County Attorney Rick Roberts and Deputy County Clerk Barbara F. Tines.
Chairman
Deaver called the meeting to order at 11:41 a.m. It was announced that the notice of this
meeting had been published in the Grant Tribune-Sentinel on July 15, 2010. Acknowledgement was made that the Open
Meeting Poster was posted in the Commissioner Room. A motion was made by Commissioner Pankonin to
approve the minutes of July 6, 2010, as published in the Tribune- Sentinel,
seconded by Commissioner Colson, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Colson to
approve the continuing agenda, seconded by Commissioner Pankonin, roll call
vote, 3 ayes, motion carried.
11:40 a.m. Protest hearing 2010-005 was heard and taken under
advisement.
11:50 a.m. Chairman recessed.
1:00 p.m. The meeting was reconvened.
1:00 p.m. Protest hearings 2010-017, 018, 019, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024 and
025 were heard and taken under advisement.
1:20 p.m. Protest hearing 2010-26 was heard and taken under advisement.
1:30 p.m. Protest hearing 2010-001 was heard and taken under
advisement.
1:50 p.m. Protest hearing 2010-032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037, and 038 were
heard telephonically and taken under advisement.
Bonnie Appel gave her recommendations on Property Valuation Protests
2010-002, 003, 004, 009, 006, 007, 008, 010, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 027,
028, 029, 030, 031, 005, 017, 018, 019, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025, 026, 001,
032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037 and 038.
Commissioner Pankonin moved to uphold the recommendations of the
Assessor for Protests 2010-002, 003, 004, 009, 006, 007, 008, 011, 012, 013,
014, 015, 016, 027, 028, 029, 030, 031, 018, 019, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025,
026, 032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037, 038, reject 2010-010, adjust 2010-005 to
$61,194, adjust 2010-017 to $86,683, adjust 2010-001 to $24,000, seconded by
Commissioner Colson, roll call vote, 3 eyes, motion carried.
3:37 p.m. Commissioner Pankonin made the motion to adjourn the Board of
Equalization meeting seconded by Commissioner Colson, roll call vote, 3 ayes,
motion carried.
